About the Role
The firm is seeking an experienced employment advocate to join its expanding Advocacy Unit, a key part of its wider Employment, Pensions and Immigration national practice. This is a hands‑on advocacy role, offering exposure to complex, high‑value and often high‑profile Employment Tribunal matters.
In this role, you will be responsible for:

* Drafting pleadings, submissions and associated tribunal documentation.
* Providing clear, pragmatic and commercially focused employment law advice.
* Working closely with senior lawyers and the Head of Advocacy on case strategy and delivery.
* Building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
* Supporting and contributing to client training, know‑how and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
* This role offers genuine scope to influence the development of a growing national advocacy practice and to work closely with colleagues across multiple offices.
The Team
You will be part of a large, highly regarded national Employment, Pensions and Immigration team, recognised for its technical excellence, collaborative culture and sector expertise across commercial, health and education clients.
The Advocacy Unit is a relatively new and ambitious offering within the firm, with clear plans for growth and innovation. As a result, this role provides a rare opportunity to help shape how employment advocacy is delivered within a leading national firm.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will be:
* A qualified barrister or solicitor advocate with 2-5 years' post‑qualification or post‑call experience.
* An experienced Employment Tribunal advocate, confident running preliminary and final hearings.
* Technically strong in employment law, with a commercial and practical approach to advice.
* A clear, confident communicator with strong client‑handling skills.
* Collaborative in style, with an interest in contributing to the growth and direction of an advocacy‑focused team.
* Motivated, adaptable and keen to work on complex, high‑quality matters for leading national clients.
