Job Description
We are seeking a Health And Safety Manager to play a pivotal, hands on role during a period of rapid growth. Reporting into the Head of Transformation, this role is central to moving the business from reactive compliance to proactive, data led safety leadership.
This role requires visibility, presence, and engagement on the shop floor and not an office based, delegate only approach. The Health And Safety Manager will be visible on site, working alongside teams, influencing stakeholders, and translating safety strategy into day to day behaviours.
The focus of the role
* The Health And Safety Manager will lead cultural change through strong change management capability, influencing across a matrix organisation and engaging everyone in the right way, from operators to senior leadership.
* You will be responsible for turning raw safety data into clear priorities and actions that drive real improvement.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the transformation of the company safety culture using proven change management approaches
* Actively implement a strategic H&S plan and land it into operational detail
* Use data and performance metrics to drive focus near misses, trends, recurring issues and improvement areas
* Build and own a Health & Safety dashboard, turning data into insight, not just reports
* Champion a proactive, no blame approach that encourages engagement and reporting
* Deliver and embed site wide safety initiatives
* Play a key role in scaling the function, with the opportunity to build and grow the team, including a Health & Safety Coordinator
* Operate confidently in a hands on, manufacturing environment — influencing, not policing
Experience & background
* Proven experience as a Health And Safety Manager/supervisor within manufacturing or other highly compliant environments
* Demonstrable success delivering safety culture change, particularly with new teams or growing sites
* Strong stakeholder management within a matrix organisation
* Comfortable using data to steer priorities and decision making
* Level 6 qualification desirable but not essential; high potential coordinator level candidates with clear change experience will be considered
