Job Description:
Our client, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and hire of lifting, pulling, and deploying solutions, is recruiting for a Project Engineer to join their team in Turriff, Aberdeenshire.
JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of small/medium-scale projects across Manufacturing, Service, and Hire.
2. Prioritize assigned projects and ensure on-time delivery, engaging with all relevant stakeholders to meet project deliverables.
3. Work in conjunction with Project Admin to Prepare and Maintain Project Documentation Register (SDRL’s).
4. Work with Project Cost Accountant to collate and maintain Project Invoice Schedule, ensuring invoicing and forecasting align with the project schedule.
5. Support Accounts Payable to ensure timely payment receipt.
6. Manage projects to meet key milestones, considering commercial implications within contracts.
7. Regularly interface with clients/suppliers/key stakeholders to satisfy project requirements.
8. Ensure equipment designs meet company and customer specifications while managing technical elements efficiently within budget constraints.
9. Provide technical support to offshore personnel as needed and ensure engagement with key parties.
10. Provide regular project progress reports to all stakeholders.
11. Prepare project cost sheets for monthly presentations.
12. Raise requisitions for project materials, site personnel, and equipment.
13. Responsible for equipment and material specification, issue, return, and transportation requirements.
14. Manage equipment modification/manufacture for projects using Service Requests.
15. Arrange and witness client FAT equipment testing when required.
16. Create offshore information packs/procedures and conduct project briefings and debriefings with offshore personnel.
17. Prepare documentation for equipment loadout and shipping.
18. Create and maintain the project plan/tracker and ensure clear communication.
19. Support the sales department in technical proposals and client meetings.
20. Gather customer feedback through satisfaction surveys and client visits.
21. Available for on-call duty.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
ESSENTIAL
* Previous work experience in a similar role.
* Degree level qualification in Engineering or similar (desirable).
* Mechanical/Hydraulics/Electrical/PLC/Back deck/Offshore operational background.
* Experience in Project Management.
* IT Skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project.
* Self-motivated with initiative.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
* Experience with back deck and mechanical handling equipment.
* Review of specifications, preparing workpacks, plans, and managing modifications.
* Experience in FAT, mobilization/demobilization of equipment for offshore/overseas.
* Previous offshore work experience highly desirable.
