Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Security Dog Handler (K9) located in the Grays, Essex area, United Kingdom. The role involves working alongside your own trained security dog to ensure the safety and protection of designated premises and individuals. Core responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to security incidents, collaborating with team members and supervisors, and providing deterrence through the presence of a professionally trained dog. The role also involves professionally interacting with the public, reporting incidents, and maintaining high standards of care for your security dog.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular patrols with a trained security dog to deter and detect unauthorised access
* Provide a visible security presence across assigned sites
* Monitor for suspicious activity and respond to incidents appropriately
* Ensure the safety and welfare of your dog at all times
* Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports, and patrol records
* Liaise with site management, control room, and emergency services when required
* Follow all site-specific assignment instructions and company procedures
Requirements:
* Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding)
* Must have a trained and certified security dog
* Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Previous experience as a security dog handler is essential
* Strong communication and observational skills
* Ability to work both day and night shifts as required
* Professional attitude and reliability
