Position Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality Sociology curriculum to students across Key Stages 4 and 5. The role entails: Designing and delivering engaging and thought-provoking Sociology lessons that align with the national curriculum and school's educational philosophy. Creating a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, debate, and exploration of complex societal issues. Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing personalized learning strategies. Collaborating with colleagues within the Social Sciences department and across the wider school community to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Sociology or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification. Demonstrated experience teaching Sociology at the secondary level, preferably across Key Stages 4 and 5. A passion for Sociology and the ability to inspire students to develop a critical understanding of the social world. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The ability to work collaboratively and independently.
