Job summary
We are looking to recruit two dynamic part-time Senior Administrators who will assist us in providing an efficient and effective service for all our patients. The successful candidates will have excellent customer service and communication skills, together with the ability to supervise the reception and administrative team, under the guidance of the Operations Manager. They must be passionate, with a willingness to mentor team members, be able to problem solve in a fast paced environment, and possess excellent IT skills. Previous General Practice experience is preferred.

JOB TITLE: Senior Administrator
RESPONSIBLE TO: Operations Manager / Practice Manager
HOURS: 30 per week x 2 posts. This is a job share role that will cover both am and pm shifts.
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide an excellent reception and administrative service to patients and the wider primary care team under the guidance and direction of the Operations Manager. You will have specific administrative responsibilities, be expected to support and supervise the reception and administrative team, and cover reception and administrative tasks as needed. Flexibility to cover planned and unplanned absences is also required.

We are a 6-Partner practice based in Adeyfield, Hemel Hempstead. The Partners are supported by a clinical team including practice nurses, HCAs, a Paramedic and Clinical Pharmacists, together with reception and administrative staff, who together, provide our patients with excellent healthcare.

MAIN DUTIES:
1. Supervise the reception and administrative team
2. First point of contact for all reception and administrative staff
3. Training new reception and administrative staff
4. Audit reception and administrative tasks for accuracy
5. Organise staff emergency absences and cover
6. Cover reception duties as needed
7. Reception Staff Rota Weekly
8. Recording holidays (Reception and Administrative staff)
9. Other administrative duties as required and agreed with the Operations Manager and Practice Manager
To ensure the Practices ongoing compliance with the CQCs (Care Quality Commission) essential standards of quality and safety.
To take an active part in the appraisal process.
To comply with all relevant Health and Safety regulations and assist the Practice in the implementation of its own Health and Safety Policy.
To comply with and actively promote the Practices Equality and Diversity Policy.
To support sustainability practices and recognise the shared responsibility of carrying out duties in a resource efficient way.
