The Role
1. To lead, develop, deliver and monitor aseptic dispensing services for base hospital.
2. To lead, develop and deliver clinical pharmacy services to a specified patient population.
3. To act as a role model and provide a consistently high quality pharmaceutical service.

What we'll need you to bring
4. Masters of Pharmacy Degree
5. Member of General Pharmaceutical Council
6. Demonstrable evidence of clinical knowledge equivalent to that of a higher degree I diploma in clinical pharmacy.
7. Evidence of training and professional development in aseptic services.
8. Minimum 4 year post registration hospital clinical pharmacy experience.
9. Minimum of two years experience of working in an aseptic unit
10. Clinical experience in relevant patient group.
11. Previous experience in delivering training and education at post-graduate level.
12. Demonstrable use of clinical audit to improve practice.
13. Experience in staff supervision
14. Experience in patient information/education
15. Identifies a vision for the delivery of pharmaceutical services to required patient population.
16. Demonstrable commitment to CPD
17. Demonstrable expert clinical knowledge and skills.
18. Demonstrate advanced level of clinical reasoning and judgement.
19. Ability to influence senior pharmacy and medical staff, the multidisciplinary team and management.
20. Ability to identify and prioritise clinical work.
21. Understanding of national and local priorities.
22. Ability to identify and manage risks.
23. Ability to work autonomously. Ability to evaluate own work. Self motivation.
24. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, in a pharmacy and multi-disciplinary environment.
25. Proven project/practice research/audit skills.
26. Ability to integrate research into practice.
27. Ensures that the training needs of junior pharmacists working within their area of practices are identified and met.
28. Weekends and public holidays
29. Participation in pharmacy emergency duty service if appropriate to post.
30. Willingness to contribute to the general working of the pharmacy department.
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
31. Experience as an Authorised Pharmacist in Aseptic Services or Production
32. A deep understanding of aseptic services underpinning regulations and the necessity of a robust Pharmaceutical Quality System
33. Previous experience in delivering training and education at post-graduate level.
34. Demonstrate advanced level of clinical reasoning and judgement
35. Ability to work to deadlines and manage resources
36. Ability to undertake the duties of mentorship and education of pharmacy staff
37. Ability to influence senior pharmacy medical and managerial staff and the multidisciplinary team.
