About The Role
The Workdry Group has seen enormous growth over recent years and is scaling up its investment in technology to drive greater customer engagement and operational efficiency. Due to this, we are recruiting an additional IT Support Technician to help support our current IT Helpdesk Team. You'll provide technical support to end-users, maintain hardware and software deployed to end users, ensure the security and efficiency of our IT environment, and liaise with infrastructure support when required.
Main Responsibilities include:
* Provide helpdesk support for all computer users covering all Workdry systems, software, hardware, cybersecurity, and general computer operation, logging calls with external support companies when necessary.
* Manage mobile devices: order new connections, accessories, and upgrades; support all company mobile device users; manage mobile device management software; keep details up to date.
* Support and troubleshoot the computer network, including branch connections, Wi-Fi access points, routers, and switches, escalating issues when necessary.
* Ensure IT equipment is correctly recorded in the database, updated regularly, assigned to the correct user, and audited periodically.
* Assist with the setup and deployment of new equipment within established processes and timeframes.
* Undertake small to medium IT projects as instructed by the IT Support and Implementation Manager to support team and business objectives.
* Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for someone confident in their knowledge, capable of problem-solving independently, and eager to improve our service and processes. The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or similar role.
* A Level (or equivalent) in ICT.
* Degree in an IT-related field is desirable but not essential.
* ITIL Foundation certification.
* Driving license with no more than 6 points.
* Willingness to travel to different UK sites as needed.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications.
* Knowledge of network configurations, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi.
* Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and antivirus software.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
