Job Overview
Kingston University seeks a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer for the Children’s Nursing academic team. The role supports teaching across pre‑registration and post‑registration courses, enhancing nursing practice and strengthening the School of Nursing, Allied and Public Health reputation in children’s nursing care.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach and inspire students in children’s nursing and education.
* Develop innovative and relational educational practice and enhance the student experience.
* Contribute to pastoral care of students.
* Pursue research, enterprise or professional practice interests as encouraged by the School.
* Meet learning and teaching standards, achieving UKPSF recognition by the end of probation.
* Obtain and maintain an enhanced DBS check clearance.
Qualifications
* Registered with the NMC as a children’s nurse.
* Degree level education, with strong clinical experience in caring for children and young people with acute health needs.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
* Applicants currently working in clinical practice who are interested in gaining experience in academia are welcome.
Benefits & Working Conditions
* Part‑time permanent position, 22.20 hours per week.
* Starting salary £27,015 per annum (60% pro‑rata to £45,025) for Lecturer or £30,096 per annum (60% pro‑rata to £50,160) for Senior Lecturer, based on experience.
