We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Carpenter to join our construction team. Duties
* Fabricate and assemble structures using a variety of hand tools and power tools
* Construct, install, repair, and maintain frameworks, fixtures, and fittings in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
* Execute joinery tasks with precision to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic quality
* Perform roofing tasks including installation, repairs, and maintenance
* Carry out masonry work as required for project specifications
* Conduct plumbing installations or repairs following technical drawings and safety protocols
* Assist with electrical wiring and component installation where applicable
* Undertake construction painting to prepare surfaces for finishing
* Handle heavy lifting safely to move materials or equipment around the site
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Experience
* Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, roofing, masonry, plumbing or electrical work is essential
* Demonstrable ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised construction equipment safely and efficiently
* Prior experience working on construction sites or in renovation projects is highly desirable
* Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to the construction industry
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately
* Physical fitness to undertake heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
