1:1 Tutor – Banbury Area Location: Banbury and surrounding areas Hours: Flexible – During School Hours Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications) Contract Type: Part-Time / Flexible About the Role We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support primary and secondary-aged pupils across Banbury and the surrounding areas. Working in partnership with local schools, tuition sessions will be delivered on a one-to-one basis in a range of settings, including: Pupils' homes School settings Local libraries This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional academic assistance, helping them build confidence, improve attainment, and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions. Support pupils in core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science where required. Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual learning needs. Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress. Work collaboratively with schools, parents/carers, and other professionals. Adhere to safeguarding and compliance requirements at all times. Essential Requirements Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience within UK. Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum. Experience teaching primary and/or secondary-aged pupils. Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Right to work in the UK. Access to reliable transport and willingness to travel within Banbury and surrounding areas. Desirable Experience Previous tutoring experience. Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, EHCPs, or those in alternative provision. Ability to teach across multiple key stages and subjects.
