Accredited employer with Mindful Employer, Disability Confident and Real Living Wage. ​ Role Background ​ This role brings together coordination responsibilities across two key services at BDC Mind: Wellbeing and Personal Health Budgets (PHB). ​ Our Wellbeing service provides group support to people experiencing mild, moderate or severe mental illness across the Bradford District and Craven. Our groups aim to increase understanding and support recovery. ​ Our Personal Health Budgets service supports people to transition from hospital back into the community by facilitating access to goods and services that support recovery, independence and wellbeing. ​ You will be joining a supportive and growing team across our Adults and Older Adults portfolio, all working towards the same aim of ensuring that no one has to face a mental health problem alone. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference, who is organised and able to manage competing priorities, and who is able to work autonomously as well as contributing to our wider teams. ​ Role Purpose As a Service Coordinator, you’ll ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our mental health services. Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll focus on internal operations, making sure teams have the resources, processes, and support they need to deliver high-quality care. You’ll be responsible for line management and operational oversight of day-to-day delivery, managing schedules, monitoring performance, and overseeing data and reporting to maintain service standards. By keeping things running smoothly, you’ll help create a stable and supportive environment for our team and the people we support. ​ Role Outcomes Ensuring the service operates efficiently, supporting the Service Manager in delivering highquality care that meets operational goals Supporting your team to be high performing by fostering clear communication and taking a proactive problem-solving approach Maintain a safe and supportive environment by ensuring timely identification, reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns, while actively engaging with multi-agency partners Ensuring accurate and timely collection and reporting of service data, supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement as well as ensuring adherence to data protection regulations and best practices Oversee staff scheduling and rota management to ensure seamless delivery, effectively managing absences and annual leave to minimise disruption Supporting the Service Manager to lead your team in alignment with our mission, objectives, policies and core values: Caring Always, Working Together, Supporting Everyone, Enabling All and Continually Improving Ensure service members are supported by delivering direct sessions when needed and helping to maintain staff cover for shifts to meet service demands. Support the on-call rota to ensure all staff have access to support and guidance out of hours Actively engage in supervision, team meetings and company events to contribute to a well-connected, informed and supportive team environment Successfully complete all mandatory and role-specific training to ensure best practices in safeguarding, data protection, health and safety and mental health awareness Adapt to evolving organisational needs by taking on additional responsibilities as required, ensuring a cohesive and effective team approach ​ Person Specification Bradford District and Craven Mind is committed to promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and improving the quality of life for people with mental health challenges. ​ We value diversity, inclusion and lived experiences when recruiting our staff and volunteers. ​ ​ Qualifications ​ Essential: Level 3 or above qualification in a relevant field OR at least 2 years relevant experience ​ Experience ​ Essential: Experience of working with children, young people OR adults in a supportive capacity or within a mental health setting Experience of working in a multiagency way Experience of conducting risk assessments, the ability to make informed decisions based on the completion of risk assessments and safeguarding procedures Desirable: Experience of working with Older Adults across Bradford District and Craven Please add ​ Skills and Abilities ​ Essential: ​ Excellent proven communication, administration and organisational skills Excellent IT Skills, including use of Microsoft packages Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with a team Able to work well under pressure and to a consistently high standard ​ ​ Knowledge ​ Essential: ​ Understanding of key current issues within mental health and potential challenges that people may face Knowledge of health and social care services in Bradford District and Craven Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection ​ Desirable: Knowledge of Older Adult mental health services across Bradford District and Craven ​ ​ Attitude and Personal Attributes ​ Essential: Passionate and enthusiastic, a solution-focused approach and can do attitude Committed to personal and professional development Strong commitment to the issue of mental health and commitment to respecting diversity in all its forms Committed to equity, diversity and inclusion Understanding of and commitment to the Bradford District and Craven Mind values ​ ​ Other Ability and willingness to travel across the district if required ​ How to Apply ​ Please click the 'Apply for this job' button and follow the steps to fill out the application form.
