The Role
We are inviting applications for a Production Accountant to join our Finance team, supporting the financial planning, control, reporting, and analysis of income and expenditure generated with a particular focus on Live Sites.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of the Games, leaving a positive legacy for Commonwealth Sport, Glasgow and communities across Scotland.
Job Summary
As Production Accountant you will play a key role in supporting successful delivery of our Live Sites by providing high-quality financial insight, maintaining robust financial processes, and ensuring compliance with corporate, governance and reporting requirements.
Working closely with functional area leads, embedded delivery partners, commercial partners and suppliers, you will ensure accurate financial tracking, timely reporting, and strong budgetary control across multiple venues and event-related activities.
This is a fixed term position with immediate start available; the expected end date will be mid August 2026.
Key Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring experience in production accounting or project accounting, ideally within large-scale events, sport, entertainment, infrastructure, or public sector projects. You will be a part or fully qualified CCAB accountant, or bring equivalent professional experience, with a strong track record in tracking and reporting project income and expenditure, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
You will be an advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, possess excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You will demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, and build effective working relationships through strong interpersonal and influencing skills. You are equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team, using your initiative to resolve issues within your remit and exercising sound judgement in escalating matters when appropriate.

Salary: Starting salary is from £61,800. Salary offered will be based on demonstrated skills and experience related to this role.
