Turning Lives Around is recruiting for the Our Way Leeds Emergency Accommodation service.
Our Way Leeds is a consortium service delivered by Turning Lives Around, Inspire North and Gipsil, offering accommodation to empower young people aged 16-25 to live independently.
As a Housing Support Worker in the Emergency Accommodation service, you will work as part of a team providing in house 24/7 support to 12 young people. We offer emergency accommodation to young people who are at risk of homelessness and help them develop skills to prepare them for independent living. The role involves supporting a caseload of young people to prepare to move on into permanent accommodation. Some of these clients may have multiple and complex needs and may also display challenging behaviours. OWL will provide accommodation and support and enable individuals to have choice and control through a personalised, responsive and flexible service promoting independence whilst improving and sustaining individuals' long-term wellbeing and independent living. We are an Ofsted registered provision also housing Looked After Children and Care Leavers.
Please note this is not a flexi job role and shifts are set to suit the service.
We are a 24/7 scheme, so bank holidays / Christmas / New Year are shared amongst staff.
The working shift pattern will be (various shifts between 7.30am and 8.30pm)
Week 1 = Tues, Weds, Thurs
Week 2 = Tues, Weds, Thurs
Week 3 = Tues, Weds, Sat
Week 4 = Tues, Weds, Sat
