Your primary responsibility will be to provide hardware maintenance support to the Etch Team, working on ICP, DSi-v, Rapier, and Synapse modules. This involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting machine failures, carrying out repairs, and assisting in the installation and start-up of new equipment in the demo lab.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of the clean room and parts storage areas, performing risk assessments, providing BA/ERT support, and ensuring safe operating practices within the clean room.
This role requires shift work, alternating weekly between early and late shifts.
Equipment maintenance and development:
* Performing regular maintenance and repairing machine failures
* Assisting in the installation and start-up of new equipment
* Planning and executing work safely and efficiently
* Contributing to development project teams
* Communicating results and ideas to engineers, managers, and stakeholders
* Reconfiguring hardware options for ongoing demonstrations
* Preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across modules
* Supporting BA/ERT activities
* Adhering to safe operating practices in the clean room
* Participating in planning and executing safe work plans on complex systems with energy sources and toxic gases, including risk assessments
* Documenting maintenance records, managing parts inventory, and communicating effectively at all levels
* Contributing to safety improvements
Qualifications and experience:
BTEC or higher in electrical/electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, or relevant discipline. Experience with SPTS etch modules, RF test equipment, and fault finding is beneficial.
