Arboriculture Technical Services Manager

The key responsibilities will be to:
1. Manage our national arboricultural consultancy business in line with the highest professional standards, meeting safety compliance standards, and ensuring delivery of the current & future budget.
2. Contribute fully to the effective planning and delivery of the consultancy activities.
3. Facilitate the compilation and review of client reports independently or in conjunction with other surveyors.
4. Manage the ongoing professional development of our in-house consultants, including CPD & Upskilling.
5. Support the Regional Director in compiling and submitting bids for new business.
6. Develop and maintain high-quality relationships with clients.
7. Provide technical advice to other parts of Glendale and The Parkwood Group.
8. Produce reports as required relating to operational activity and business development.
9. Safeguard and maximise the company's image and credibility.
10. Take responsibility for health and safety and actively participate in the maintenance and improvement of the overall Company Health and Safety culture.
11. Ensure the maintenance of Quality Standards, particularly the application of the Company Quality System, maintained to BS EN 9001 standard at the contract.
12. Ensure the maintenance of Environmental Standards and compliance with BS EN ISO 14001:1996 at the contract.
Skills & Competencies
The successful candidate will have an established track record as a successful manager, either self-employed or working for a small/medium-sized enterprise.
1. Strong client management skills with an emphasis on customer service and project delivery.
2. Ability to manage in a corporate environment, primarily responsible for budget, HR, & business development.
3. Competent at managing a distributed workforce, often working alone in various urban and rural settings, including remote locations.
4. Proficient in using maps, schematics, and navigational aids.
5. Ability to plan, monitor, and record progress against work programmes.
6. Experience in managing data capture within various software platforms.
Qualifications
The post-holder may have a recognised tree surveyor qualification at Level 3 or above.
Applicants with vocational experience of an equivalent level will also be considered.
Professional Tree Inspector Certification & QTRA registered user status would be ideal.
Other relevant industry and business management qualifications are desirable.
