About the Role
Learning Support Assistant (Specialism in Music Technology) — Location: Kensington Sixth Form College. Contract: Full-time, Term-time only. Start Date: ASAP / October 2025.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with a background in Music Technology to join our vibrant sixth form college in the heart of Kensington. This is an exciting opportunity to support young people at a pivotal stage in their education, helping them to develop both academically and personally.
The successful candidate will provide tailored support to students with additional learning needs, working closely with teaching staff and specialist teams. Your background in Music Technology will allow you to bring a creative and engaging dimension to your work, supporting students both in and out of the classroom environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum.
* Assist in delivering lessons, particularly in Music Technology and related creative subjects.
* Encourage student independence, resilience, and confidence in both academic and practical tasks.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the SEN team to implement learning strategies and interventions.
* Support students with study skills, coursework, and preparation for assessments.
* Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
About You
* Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
* Background in Music Technology - whether through study, professional experience, or teaching support.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
* A proactive, adaptable, and supportive approach to working with learners.
* A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
