Pay: £14 - £16 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 4:00pm, 30 min break)

Reeson Education is recruiting for an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary SEN provision in the M20 area of Manchester. This full-time Teaching Assistant role will be based within the KS2 age range, supporting pupils with a variety of complex learning and communication needs, including SEMH, ASD, and non-verbal communication.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping children with additional needs reach their potential in a supportive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
Teaching Assistant - What You'll Be Doing:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for KS2 pupils with complex and communication needs
Assisting with planning, preparation, and delivery of adapted learning activities
Leading small group sessions and occasionally taking responsibility for the class under teacher direction
Using Team Teach or other positive handling techniques to ensure safety and consistency
Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development through calm, structured engagement
Encouraging independence and helping pupils develop communication, self-regulation, and life skills
Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to implement EHCP targets
Promoting inclusion, positive relationships, and a nurturing environment for every child
Teaching Assistant - Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) - essential
Team Teach (or equivalent positive handling) training - essential
Proven experience supporting KS2 pupils with SEN, SEMH, or complex needs
Confident, patient, and adaptable with strong behaviour management skills
Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with pupils and colleagues
Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, from after half term
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
