A highly respected specialist school in London is seeking an experienced Band 6 School Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team. This is a full-time, year-round role supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
This is an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse who is confident managing complex care and is looking to transition into a rewarding educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality nursing care to students with complex health needs
* Perform procedures including tracheostomy care, enteral feeding, and ventilatory support
* Deliver clinical training and supervision to school staff
* Act as lead nurse in the absence of the Lead School Nurse
* Collaborate with families and external healthcare providers to ensure consistent care planning
* Maintain accurate records in line with NMC standards
Requirements:
* NMC Registered Nurse (Children’s or Learning Disabilities preferred)
* Experience with complex clinical care in paediatric or SEND settings
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
