The Role
The Student Recruitment Team plays a significant role in the recruitment of students to the University. They organise and deliver key internal events such as Open Days and Decision Days, which require coordinating staff members from across the University. They also organise school and college visits and attend external recruitment events such as UCAS and UKUS fairs and events at schools and colleges.
Required Skills and Experience
The role requires a significant amount of project work and the postholder must be able to develop positive relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver a “whole-university” approach to student recruitment. They will work with data and contribute to the devising of strategies for student recruitment. They will also manage a portfolio of external schools and colleges with a focus on developing relationships and increasing applications. The postholder will be a strong presenter and communicator and possess the ability to connect with, and provide high-quality Information Advice and Guidance to, young people. The role requires working unsociable hours, including some weekends, and travelling across the UK.
