With a strong order book and growing project pipeline, they are seeking a skilled Estimator to join their commercial team and contribute to their continued success.
Role Overview:
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, preparing accurate and competitive tenders for new build and refurbishment projects. You will work closely with the pre-construction and operational teams to analyse project requirements, develop cost plans, and ensure the delivery of winning bids in line with company standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for housing and public sector projects.

Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify cost drivers and risks.

Liaise with supply chain partners and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.

Work collaboratively with the Bid, Design, and Commercial teams to ensure aligned and informed tender proposals.

Attend site visits and client meetings as required to support the tendering process.
*
Provide value engineering input and advise on alternative construction methods to improve project viability.

Ensure compliance with company policies, client specifications, and regulatory standards.
Requirements:

Proven experience as an Estimator within the South Wales construction industry.
*
Strong knowledge of housing association and local authority procurement processes.
*
Experience working on residential new builds and refurbishment projects.
*
Familiarity with estimating software.
*
Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
*
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
