Job description Our Operational Officers in our Belfast Office are adaptable and work in a variety of teams, delivering great services to our customers. Do you have an eye for detail? You will be checking and processing documents and recording data. Do you enjoy working in a bustling environment? - Youll be meeting deadlines and targets. Do you enjoy helping people? You'll be providing an excellent service by responding to our customers, which includes telephone enquiries and handling correspondence from them. Do you enjoy working with others? Youll work as part of a team, to deliver great results! Do you want to make a difference to the UK economy? You'll be ensuring our powers are put into action, helping to fight economic crime and ensuring our customers are doing everything they should be. Person specification As an Operational Officer you could be placed in a variety of teams within our Belfast Office and we need you to: Be a great communicator both in writing and when speaking to people, including on the telephone. Be able to provide excellent customer service. Be adaptable and flexible sometimes ways of doing things change and we need people who can change too. Be well organised and efficient - enjoying working in a fast-paced environment where you meet and exceed agreed targets. Be accurate where youre focused and have an eye for detail. Be confident to make decisions where you can explain why youve made them. Have good IT skills you dont need to be an expert, just somebody who feels confident using a computer. Confident with an inquisitive mindset- we want people who will look at our information and arent afraid to ask questions when things dont seem quite right. Youll also: Receive all the training you need from our friendly colleagues and managers, no previous experience is needed as well give you all the training and support you need. Please note: If you're interested in part-time hours, we can support this with a minimum of 30 hours per week, which can be flexibly spread across 4 or 5 working days. You will be aligned to our Belfast Office, where we are currently using a hybrid approach to the way we work. Our approach to hybrid working provides opportunities for you to be adaptable in the way you work so that you can achieve a healthy balance between your work and home life. Currently for this role we anticipate you would be in our Belfast Office for a minimum of 1-2 days each week. This could potentially increase during training periods and is dependent on business need. All successful candidates should expect to attend our Belfast office for up to 5 days per week during their initial 2 weeks. Things you need to know Selection process details This vacancy is using Success Profiles, and will assess your Behaviours, Strengths and Experience. In your application form wed like you to: Tell us about your employment history, including key responsibilities and achievements. Wed like you to write a personal statement of 750 words where you tell us about why youd be great for this role and include evidence of all elements of the person specification. We will be sifting looking through your application for evidence of all of the elements of the person specification as this is what we'll be assessing at sift stage. Companies House uses a blended interview technique, allowing us to find out more about you. We use the Success Profile framework and at interview we will use Success Profiles assessing the Behaviours listed in the advert and Strengths. What will the process look like? Well carry out a sift of applications. We may raise the score required at sift stage to progress to interview if we receive a high number of applications. At sift we may choose to take through the highest performing candidates to the next stage. If, after the final stage is completed and roles are unfilled, we will proceed to invite lower scoring candidates to interview. Successful candidates at sift will be invited to an In person Interview at our Belfast Office. We will sift applications week commencing 13th October 2025. It is anticipated that in person interviews will take place during the weeks commencing 3rd of November 2025.
