Kaplan Living Glasgow, student accommodation housing 276 full-time students, mainly studying at Glasgow International College in partnership with the University of Glasgow. Located near the university’s main campus, offering 24-hour support to ensure students feel safe, happy, and cared for. The successful candidate will join a strong team supporting the residence’s services.
The Role
Our welfare officers support students living on-site. You will work in a rostered pattern, providing support during students’ first year in the UK. The team covers student experience, compliance, welfare, and administration, fostering a community and trust. Evening and weekend work are required.
This role requires living in the residence and is only suitable for full-time students due to council tax restrictions.
Responsibilities & functions
1. Develop knowledge of and follow guidelines and protocols in your role.
2. Promote resident welfare and enforce behaviour policies.
3. Share responsibility for safeguarding and duty of care for U18 students with the Residence and College teams.
4. Respond promptly to emails and other communication channels to resolve issues.
