About the Setting
The school caters for pupils with a variety of complex needs, including SEMH, physical disabilities, communication difficulties, and complex medical requirements. Staff work collaboratively to create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment, ensuring every pupil receives tailored support to meet their individual goals.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with diverse SEN needs
* Assist with learning activities, emotional regulation, and behaviour support
* Support with personal care or medical needs where required
* Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement individual learning plans
* Contribute to a caring and positive atmosphere for all students
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
* Experience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly SEMH, autism, or complex medical needs
* A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Additional related training (e.g., Team Teach, Moving & Handling, Makaton, medical or safeguarding training) – highly advantageous
* Availability to start as soon as possible
