Ground Segment Product Assurance Lead
Join Telespazio UK, a leader in satellite communications and space technology, and help shape the future of global connectivity. We’re looking for a skilled Product Assurance Lead to support ground segment systems across major space programmes in Navigation, Earth Observation, Climate, and Communications.
As Product Assurance Lead, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining the Product Assurance (PA) programme across all project phases—from initiation to disposal. You’ll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Creating and managing PA & Safety plans aligned with ECSS, AS9100, ISO 9001
* Defining and flowing down PA requirements to suppliers and subcontractors
* Supporting design reviews (PDR, CDR) and product milestones (MRR, TRR, TRB)
* Managing non-conformances and deviations (NCR, RFD/RFW)
* Leading customer acceptance and delivery processes (DRB)
* Maintaining PA databases and quality records for reporting and review
* Implementing quality tools for risk management and lessons learned
* Liaising with customer PA representatives throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent technical qualification
* Experience in institutional PA programmes (ESA, NASA, MoD, etc.)
* Strong knowledge of space industry standards (ECSS, ISO)
* Familiarity with configuration management and quality auditing
* Experience in MOD or government procurement (highly desirable)
* Eligibility for UK Security Clearance
