About this role
The Delivery Operations Director will play a critical role in driving delivery performance and optimising courier networks across multiple markets operating under our independent contractor model. This role reports directly to the VP Global Logistics,sits within the Global Logistics team and will primarily focus on European Markets.
The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with local market teams, Product, Tech, and Commercial to deliver a seamless experience across all stakeholders, customers, partners, and couriers while supporting sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our London office & 2 days working from home. Plus occasional travel.

The Delivery Operations Director will be accountable for the performance and cost of delivery networks across several markets—specifically including Time to Delivery, Network Downtime, and Undelivered Orders. Responsibilities are aligned with local business plans and derived from group-level strategic objectives:
* Represent local markets within the global logistics team, championing their delivery and operational needs.
* Own and optimise delivery performance and cost metrics
* Develop and execute market-level strategies aligned with regional and group logistics goals.
* Collaborate with commercial teams to optimise order density, coverage, and growth across the delivery estate.
* Champions cross-functional projects to improve delivery outcomes and manage risk, involving Tech, Legal, Government Affairs, and other key partners.
* Drive courier engagement and retention through close work with Partner Marketing and local Ops teams.
* Inspire, manage, and develop local Delivery Operations teams, fostering high performance and continuous improvement.
