Business Development Manager – Cheltenham based - £50,000 - £80,000 per annum – DV Cleared
Our client are a dynamic medium sized consultancy based in Cheltenham, known for delivering advanced transformational services across Cyber security, cloud computing and software services.
As they continue to expand in the national security environment, they are seeking a well connected Business Development Manager to lead growth within the MOD environment.
You will be instrumental in unlocking new opportunities and expanding existing relationships across the defence industry so a strong network within MOD organisations is essential for this role.
This role would be based in Cheltenham with hybrid working of 2-3 days per week on site.
Key responsibilities:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with MOD stakeholders, whilst leveraging existing networks to identify and secure new business opportunities.
* Develop and manage strategic plans and using pipelines to identify upcoming tenders.
* Lead or contribute to the preparation of tenders and proposal submissions, ensuring full compliance with regulations and requirements.
* Support and lead negotiations to secure successful outcomes.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and delivery team to align company capabilities with MOD expectations and programme needs.
* Create and implement sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets.
* Stay informed on industry trends whilst keeping the team up to date.
* Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction by providing excellent service delivery and drive continued business development.
* Proactively Follow up on leads to increase relationship building.
* Create and maintain accurate sales forecasts to support planning and performance tracking.
Skills required:
* Strong experience working across strong
* Previous experience growing accounts.
* Strong contacts and relations within MOD.
* Building strong internal and external relations
* Displaying initiative and adaptability in dynamic environments.
