Delivery Postie with Driving – Job reference: 338221
Location: Welshpool Delivery Office, SY21 7AF
Job type: Permanent contract
Hours: 30.00 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 days, across Monday to Sunday, between 07:30 and 21:00, supporting two separate shifts, either 07:30–15:30 for Letter Deliveries or 15:00–21:00 for Parcel Deliveries. Occasionally, Sundays may be required between 10:30 and 16:30 at Shrewsbury Delivery Office.
Responsibilities
* Deliver letters and parcels to the local community within the specified shifts.
* Provide excellent customer service in daily interactions with residents.
* Operate delivery vehicles safely within UK driving regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage.
* Adapt to varying working hours, including occasional Sunday duties.
Qualifications
* Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated.
* Organised, punctual and ready to deliver great customer service.
* People‑person, friendly face in the community.
* Happy walking for long periods and working outside in any weather.
* Strong sense of community and pride in work.
* Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
