Health and safety manager

Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for a role where you can genuinely influence culture, shape strategy and make a lasting impact? We're partnering with a leading FMCG business that is looking for an experienced H&S Manager to join its senior leadership team at a large, highly automated manufacturing facility in Yorkshire. This is more than a compliance-focused role. You'll be responsible for driving a positive safety culture across the site, influencing leaders at all levels and ensuring Health & Safety standards remain at the forefront of everything the business does. The Role As H&S Manager, you will: Lead all Health and Safety activities across the site Drive a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives Coach and influence managers to take ownership of H&S performance Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company standards Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions Manage risk assessments and safe systems of work Deliver H&S training and awareness programmes Oversee ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems Lead audits, inspections and compliance activities Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement H&S strategy Drive environmental and sustainability improvements across the operation About You To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have: NEBOSH Diploma (essential) Environmental qualification (essential) Significant experience within a senior HSE position Manufacturing, FMCG, food production or industrial experience Aerospace, Automotive, Oil, Gas, Engineer Background Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 Knowledge of ISO 14001 Excellent communication and influencing skills Experience driving behavioural and cultural change The ability to engage confidently from boardroom to shop floor What's On Offer £65,000 - £75,000 Basic Salary Annual Bonus Scheme Enhanced Pension Contribution Private Healthcare Flexible Holiday Scheme Health & Wellbeing Benefits Genuine Career Progression Opportunities Senior Leadership Team ExposureThis is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer that continues to invest in its people, facilities and long-term growth.
