We are currently recruiting for a reliable, conscientious, and enthusiastic maintenance operative that can carry out a range of general maintenance repairs. This role will be predominantly based covering our properties in the Wales, Bath and Bristol areas.
As a maintenance operative, you will be involved in:
* Using your existing skills to make a meaningful difference – All Fair Ways services require well maintained and highly functional properties.
* Being part of a fantastic team! - You will plan and undertake maintenance jobs effectively, meeting deadlines, communicating clearly with your team, providing progress reports and updates as required.
* Working safely - Ensuring all work is carried out safely with the monitoring of good, safe working practice whilst adhering to all Health and Safety policies ensuring all risk assessments are followed and adhered to, to keep yourself and other safe from harm.
* Working smartly- Ensuring the removal and disposal of all debris and waste from all jobs leaving all sites tidy and clean whilst guaranteeing strict waste management procedures are adhered to, that all ordering of materials is communicated and signed off appropriately, to adhere to the Permanent Loan Record (PLR) for all Fair Ways tools, implementing regular checks to maintain good working order/repair, also the correct/safe usage, ensuring all tools are accounted for and not left unsupervised.
* Working in a trauma informed environment - Playing your part in growing a compassionate, resilient and trauma informed community that embraces learning, so that we improve the lives and outcomes of every individual.
This role is offered on a 37.5 hour per week basis, working Monday to Friday. All candidates must have a full driving license as the role will require travel between sites. The successful candidate will be provided with a vehicle, tools and uniform and a will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure (DBS).
Requirements
* Level 2 award in a relevant subject area such as, carpentry, plumbing, general maintenance.
* Previous working experience within construction or a relevant trade.
