About the Role As an IT in OT Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the digital systems that power Airbus's Filton Plant-home to the manufacture of wings and wing components for the Airbus family of aircraft. Working as part of a small, collaborative Digital IT Team, you'll be responsible for maintaining, securing, and improving the IT infrastructure embedded within our advanced manufacturing environment. What You'll Be Doing Diagnose & Resolve: Identify, categorise, and resolve IT and OT issues at the industrial asset level, ensuring minimal disruption to production. Install & Configure: Plan, install, and configure software, hardware, and network equipment at machine level. Maintain Security: Apply robust security measures, including antivirus, security patches, and network segregation, to protect against cyber threats. System Management: Manage accounts, workstations, passwords, file system security, and data integrity. Continuous Improvement: Support new projects, evaluate data flows, and contribute to process improvements across the plant. Documentation: Build and maintain accurate hardware and software inventories, ensuring compliance with licensing and backup policies. Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, industrial maintenance, digital product managers, and external partners to deliver seamless IT support. Onsite Presence: Regularly walk the plant floor, proactively checking IT systems and addressing any issues. What We're Looking For Strong IT experience, ideally within a manufacturing or operational environment. Knowledge of cyber security best practices, especially in industrial settings. Experience with software and database backups, installations, and system patching. Understanding of networking infrastructure and Microsoft operating systems (legacy systems a plus). Effective communicator, able to engage with both technical and non-technical colleagues. Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Willingness to work onsite and occasionally travel (e.g., to Broughton or within Europe). Experience is valued over formal qualifications. Training will be provided for specific tools and processes.
