The Opportunity
We are seeking a forward-thinking and future focused Director of Allied Health to lead the strategic direction and operational excellence of our Allied Health portfolio. This is a key senior leadership role, responsible for shaping innovative evidence-based models of care, driving workforce transformation, and enhancing the integration of allied health services across the patient journey.
You will be an influential leader who can inspire teams, challenge traditional models, and develop sustainable, future-ready allied health services.
Key Responsibilities
5. Develop and execute a forward-looking allied health strategy aligned with the hospital’s clinical and business priorities
6. Lead the design and implementation of contemporary, innovative, value-based models of care, including virtual, community-based, and integrated care pathways
7. Drive workforce planning and capability development, ensuring a skilled, flexible, and future-ready allied health workforce
8. Foster a high-performance culture focused on quality, evidence-based practice, and continuous improvement
9. Build strategic partnerships across nursing, medical, and corporate services to support interdisciplinary collaboration
10. Oversee service delivery, clinical governance, and performance management across all allied health disciplines
About You
11. Tertiary qualifications in an Allied Health profession (e.g., Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Social Work)
12. Postgraduate qualifications in Health Administration, Business, or Leadership (preferred)
13. Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within a complex healthcare environment, preferably private or tertiary
14. Demonstrated success in developing and leading strategic initiatives, workforce models, and service innovation
15. Proven ability to lead and support workplace change with a focus on long-term sustainability, while building organisational readiness, capability, and resilience for ongoing transformation
16. Strong understanding of the Australian healthcare landscape, private sector dynamics, and regulatory frameworks
17. Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
18. A passion for patient-centred care, system improvement, and collaborative leadership
