Job Description
IT Desktop Support Technician needed at a local school for a minimum of 4 weeks, with potential for extension.
***Must hold a valid DBS***
Hours: 8am – 4:30pm with an hour unpaid lunch (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Near Ashton-Under-Lyne
Reporting to the School’s IT Manager, as the IT Desktop Support Engineer, you will be involved with upgrades on over 550 PCs and general day-to-day IT support within the school. It is essential you hold a valid DBS.
* Good knowledge of desktop technologies supporting Windows 7 through Windows 10
* Experience with 1st and 2nd Line support for Microsoft Office 2010, 2013, 2016, and Office365
* Maintenance and troubleshooting of printers
* Good communication skills – written and verbal
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to diagnose faults and find solutions
* Ability to maintain strong relationships with customers
* Able to follow agreed procedures and documentation
* User administration of Microsoft Server 2008, 2012, 2016
* User administration of Exchange 2010, 2013, 2016, and Office365
* A basic understanding of networking protocols and devices
