Our client, a busy social housing client in Bristol, are looking for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their team and play a crucial role within their buildings and asset management operations. Position: Senior Building Surveyor Salary: £42,839 to £46,142 per annum (DOE) Contract Duration: Permanent Working Arrangement: Hybrid Job Purpose: The Management of building work for the authority in compliance with current legislation and regulations. Utilise NEC4, SFG20, JobLogic, and FastDraft systems on a daily basis to support the delivery of the Hard FM contracts. Job Duties: Provide comprehensive support in maintaining properties under the department’s responsibility, ensuring buildings remain fit for purpose and all works comply with current legislation. Act as consultant, within the terms of Service Agreements with other departments within the Authority, to manage building repairs, maintenance and refurbishment. Ensure buildings are kept fit for purpose, and that all building works comply with current legislation. Undertake condition surveys to formulate maintenance programmes with budget costing. Liaise with Chief Officers or their representatives to prioritise and produce agreed works programmes. Job Requirements: Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation. An academic qualification recognised as being suitable for Corporate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or equivalent professional qualification. Experience of project management at a senior level, relevant experience in the repair, refurbishment, improvement and general maintenance of buildings, including the ability to prepare specifications, drawings, including feasibility studies, considering all options and report and present outcomes where required.
