Div h3 b Principal Designer – Building Regulations & CDM /b /h3 p b Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + excellent benefits /b /p p Lead compliance, safety, and design coordination across complex projects. /p p A well established architectural practice is looking to appoint a Principal Designer (Building Regulations & CDM) to join their team. This is a key role within the practice, supporting the delivery of compliant, safe, and well coordinated design information across all project stages. /p p This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in architecture, building control, project management, or health and safety who enjoys working across design teams and influencing project outcomes from inception to completion. /p h3 Salary & Benefits /h3 ul li £45,000 – £50,000 salary (depending on experience) /li li Flexible working arrangements /li li Pension scheme /li li Ongoing CPD and training support /li li Career development opportunities within a growing practice /li li Supportive and collaborative team environment /li li Exposure to a wide range of project types and scales /li /ul h3 Requirements /h3 ul li Experience in architecture, building control, project management, or construction health & safety /li li Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act 2022 /li li Understanding of HRBs and Gateway processes /li li Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams /li li Strong attention to detail and compliance focused mindset /li li Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsiple /li li Ability to influence design outcomes and manage risk /li /ul h3 Desirable /h3 ul li Professional membership (RIBA, CIAT, RICS, CIOB, CABE or similar) /li li Experience in Principal Designer or CDM advisory roles /li li Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital coordination tools /li li Site inspection or construction stage experience /li /ul h3 The Role /h3 p As Principal Designer, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance and coordination across all project stages. /p h3 Key responsibilities /h3 ul li Acting as Principal Designer under CDM and Building Regulations /li li Coordinating design risk and compliance information /li li Reviewing design packages for regulatory compliance /li li Supporting Gateway submissions and approvals process /li li Maintaining compliance trackers and project documentation /li li Attending design team and client meetings /li li Advising on Building Safety Act requirements /li li Supporting project teams across multiple sectors and stages /li li Carrying out site visits where required /li li Contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement /li /ul p Interested to know more?
