Learning Support Mentor
Location - Cambridge / Huntingdon
3x roles available - 1x permanent FT, 1x temporary - 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and 1x temporary - 2 days per week (Monday and Friday).
£12.71 per hour + statutory holiday pay / £24,577 per annum.
About the role: The primary purpose of this job role is to support students with learning difficulties and disabilities to become empowered so that they can fully access the curriculum and successfully achieve their programme of study through their development of greater independence. Working in collaboration with the subject lecturing staff and assessors, under the direction of the Learning Support Manger, or their delegate, within a wide variety of learning environments and situations. Support students to access these curriculums both within and outside of a classroom environment including: reading out of materials, note taking, word processing, using enabling technologies, definition of language and other metacognitive skills.
For this role, we are looking for someone with:
* Recent and demonstrable experience of supporting with people with special education needs.
* Experience of an educational environment.
* GCSE English and Maths or equivalent at grade C or 4.
