Fully Async and Remote
Our team is 100% remote and distributed across the world. We have team members all over the world. It doesn’t matter where you live or what time zone you’re in.
Your main responsibility will be to write high-quality technical long-form content, including documentation, tutorials, blog posts, and more. You don’t need to know anything about SEO; we will take care of that. All you need to do is be an expert in WordPress and write engaging content.
There is also an opportunity to create videos for our various YouTube channels.
Flexibility
We are a small team but we try to give everyone as much flexibility as possible. Flexibility means that you can work in the mornings, evenings, or at any time that suits you. It means you can take two weeks off to go on a trip or decide to take a day off without notifying anyone.
Responsibilities
* Write, edit, and publish high-quality content for a technical audience.
* Become an expert in the products you are writing about.
* Sometimes you will write the articles yourself, other times you will write an outline and hand it off to another writer, and at times you will edit articles that were outlined and written by others.
* The articles you create may require several days of preparation, including testing, gathering screenshots, and deciding how to structure the article.
Requirements
The only thing we really care about is the ability to write high-quality content. The more of these boxes you can tick the better, in descending order of importance:
* Available to work 20-30 hours per week.
* Flawless, native-speaker level written English. Able to explain complicated, technical topics in a simple and engaging manner.
* Expert-level knowledge of WordPress and its ecosystem, including but not limited to page builders, ACF, WooCommerce, and other niche WordPress tools.
* Experience working in the WordPress space for many years, with skills in troubleshooting, debugging, and familiarity with the WordPress database structure, and possibly plugin development.
* At least intermediate-level PHP knowledge, with the ability to write PHP functions and create custom website components to specification.
* Fast and hands-on learner. Able to quickly become familiar with new software and learn new things about WordPress, PHP, and related technologies.
