We’re looking for a skilled Day Shift Fitter to join our engineering team, keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and ready to roll. Every repair you make, every inspection you complete, helps thousands of passengers get where they need to be—on time, every time. ️ What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be the heartbeat of our daytime operations, making sure our buses are road-ready and performing at their best: Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and MOT preparation Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults Repair and replace key components – from engines and gearboxes to brakes and wiring Complete job cards and reports with precision (no mystery paperwork here) Work closely with the wider team to minimise downtime and maximise availability Keep the workshop safe, clean, and running like a well-oiled machine Stay ahead of the curve with ongoing training and new tech What We’re Looking For You know your way around heavy vehicles and aren’t afraid to get stuck in: NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Experience as a fitter/technician (bus or coach experience is a big plus) Strong diagnostic skills – you don’t just spot problems, you solve them Confident using tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems Full UK driving licence (PCV Category D?
