Key Responsibilities as SEN Teaching Assistant:
Targeted Support: Deliver structured academic assistance and practical interventions.
Classroom Execution: Implement tasks, adapted materials, and subject-focused activities with precision.
Behaviour & Regulation: Apply consistent, firm strategies to build discipline, self-management, and focus.
Performance Monitoring: Log key behaviours and provide direct updates to teaching staff.
Professional Coordination: Work efficiently with staff and external teams to maintain aligned expectations.To succeed as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:
Experience in education, SEN, youth work, sports coaching, or similar structured settings.
A steady, controlled approach with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Confidence following clear behaviour frameworks and executing set plans.
A proactive, independent mindset with strong situational awareness.
