<div><p>Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust</p><h3>Community Learning Disability Nurse</h3><p><b>The closing date is 19 June 2026</b></p><p>We are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated registered Nurse to join a busy and well respected Integrated Learning Disability Service, covering the Lancashire locality.</p><p>This role offers wide-ranging experience of community services for people with learning disability. The Service strives to provide forward‑thinking, high‑quality services, working in partnership with other agencies and supporting families and carers.</p><p>We are looking for a registered Nurse with up‑to‑date knowledge of health policy for people with learning disabilities. Adaptability, good communication skills and self‑motivation are essential. The successful applicant will have proven skills in working with people who have complex needs and challenging behaviour, and will demonstrate evidence‑based, innovative practice.</p><h3>Main duties of the job</h3><p>The Community Learning Disability Team in Pennine is a friendly, supportive multi‑disciplinary team based across 3 sites: Darwen, Accrington and Burnley. We pride ourselves on a holistic approach to supporting the health needs of adults with learning disabilities and a drive for continuous service development across all professions. The team meets monthly, alternating virtual and face‑to‑face meetings.</p><p>Applicants must have a valid means of transport and be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Part 5 or 14 of NMC register</li></ul><h3>Knowledge</h3><ul><li>Ability to support people who have a learning disability on an individual and group basis.</li><li>Knowledge and skills in the assessment/management of risk.</li><li>Knowledge of contemporary health learning disability policy.</li></ul><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>Experience of working in a community setting.</li><li>Experience working with individuals who challenge.</li><li>Experience of project development.</li><li>Experience of managing others.</li></ul><h3>Disclosure and Barring Service Check</h3><p>This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and will require a submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.</p><p>Salary: £39,959 to £48,117 per annum (subject to confirmation)</p></div>
