The Role

* Permanent
* Part Time (22.5 hours)


We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team on a part time basis. In this role, you’ll provide essential support to the finance team, ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations and helping to maintain accuracy of the financial records. This hours could be split over 3-5 days, with flexibility for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:

* Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
* Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, customer and supplier accounts.
* Support with month-end close activities and preparation of financial data.
* Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing, document management, and data entry.
* Respond to queries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial transactions.
* Help streamline financial processes and identify areas for improvement.

Key Skills / Qualifications:

* Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is essential.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
