On behalf of our client based in Ballymena Area we are recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor.
This role will be full time Mon-Frid & permanent. You will report directly to the Warehouse Manager.
Job Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse activities. This includes managing inventory, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
2. Ensure the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
3. Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
4. Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
5. Monitor and manage warehouse equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.
7. Prepare and maintain reports on warehouse operations, including inventory levels, productivity, and safety incidents.
8. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
9. 5 GCSES A-C including Maths & English or Diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field would be an advantage.
10. Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a similar role.
11. Strong leadership and team management skills.
12. Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
13. Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office packages.
14. Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment.
15. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
16. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Working Conditions:
17. This position requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
18. The warehouse environment may be subject to varying temperatures and noise levels.
19. Occasional overtime may be required to meet operational needs.
