Job Description
Opportunity to join a leading F&B group partnering with world-class culinary and creative talent to build category-defining brands across restaurants, bars, catering, and food production.
The company creates concepts that push the boundaries of what food and drink can be — blending innovation, design, and storytelling to deliver memorable guest experiences.
With a footprint spanning Europe and North America, they employ 800+ and own/operate 25+ restaurants, venues, and bars in the UK, encompassing more than 100,000 sq ft of prime hospitality space and serving over 1.5 million guests annually.
The Role
We are looking for a skilled Interior Designer / Architectural Designer with a strong background in restaurant and hospitality design to translate brand concepts into fully realised physical environments. This role sits at the intersection of brand, design, and delivery. You will help shape the spatial expression of the brands — from fast-growing, scalable fast-casual concepts through to occasional premium and one-off restaurant projects.
You will lead the design from concept through to technical handover, partnering with external architects and consultants to deliver construction-ready schemes.
Key Responsibilities
Concept & Brand Translation
* Translate restaurant brand concepts into clear, compelling interior and spatial design narratives.
* Develop layout strategies, material palettes, lighting concepts, and furniture strategies aligned to brand DNA and operational needs.
* Design primarily for fast-casual and premium casual formats, with occasional higher-end projects.
Design Development
* Produce concept designs, layouts, and visual presentations for internal stakeholders.
* Create and manage CAD drawings, including GA layouts, elevations, and key details.
* Produce or oversee 3D visuals, renders, and spatial drawings to communicate design intent clearly.
Technical & Delivery Interface
* Work closely with external architects, MEP consultants, kitchen designers, and contractors to translate concepts into full construction drawings.
* Ensure designs are practical, buildable, cost-aware, and aligned with programme.
* Review and input into technical packages to protect design intent through delivery.
Construction & Hospitality Know-How
* Apply a strong understanding of restaurant construction, including:
* Back-of-house and kitchen layouts
* MEP constraints and coordination
* Front-of-house customer flow considerations
* Balance creativity with operational efficiency and long-term scalability.
Sourcing & Specification
* Source and specify materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and fittings (FF&E).
* Build repeatable design kits and core finish palettes for scalable brands.
* Liaise with suppliers, fabricators, and manufacturers to develop cost-effective solutions.
Scaling & Systems
* Help develop repeatable design standards and templates for fast-growing brands.
* Support multiple projects at different stages simultaneously.
* Contribute to improving internal design processes as the in-house function grows.
Experience
* 7+ years’ experience in interior design or architectural design, ideally within hospitality or F&B.
* Strong experience designing restaurants, cafés, bars, or fast-casual concepts.
* Background in design-led but commercially grounded brands.
* Experience working alongside architects, consultants, and contractors.
Skills
* Strong design concepting and spatial thinking.
* Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD or similar).
* Confident producing or directing 3D models & renders
* Solid understanding of restaurant construction, kitchen planning, and MEP interfaces.
* Strong FF&E and materials sourcing experience.
* Commercially aware and pragmatic — understands budgets, timelines, and rollout realities.
* Comfortable owning projects end-to-end.
Why Here
* Work directly with senior leadership on concept creation.
* Shape the physical identity of fast-growing, category-defining brands.
* Move quickly from idea to built reality.
* High creative ownership with real commercial impact.
* A rare chance to build and define an in-house design function from the ground up.
