Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) has been delivering Mental Health Support Teams in schools and colleges across Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire since 2019.
We have a band 3 opportunity within our Doncaster team for an Assistant Whole School Approach Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, kind, compassionate and resilient.
RDaSH offers Level 3 apprenticeship qualifications where the applicant does not yet hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject.
The role will assist the Whole School Approach Lead in helping schools to access resources, guidance and information about emotional wellbeing, and maintain accurate records of school engagement and WSA activities.
Main duties of the job
With Me in Mind supports children/young people and their families by providing emotional and mental health support whilst enhancing existing services. The service ensures that early intervention and prevention are in place in all educational providers working with school years 3 to 13. The assistant coordinator will support early intervention within school and college settings, and collaborate with the team to deliver the Whole School Approach, a core function of the MHST model.

Qualifications
* English and Maths at level 2 or equivalent (GCSE 9-4 or A*- C or functional skills level 2)
* NVQ Level 2 in a related subject
* NVQ Level 3 in related subject or willingness to undertake a relevant Level 3 Apprenticeship
* Willingness to undertake relevant training
* Experience or training related to education, youth work, or mental health
Experience
* Experience working in education, health, or community settings
* Experience communicating with people from a range of backgrounds
Knowledge
* Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
* Basic understanding of children's mental health
* Awareness of challenges facing young people in school
* Awareness of whole school approaches to wellbeing
Skills & Abilities
* Ability to organise tasks and manage time
* Clear and confident communication
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines
* Basic presentation or group facilitation skills
* Ability to collect feedback or basic data
