GSL Education are seeking a dedicated RE Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Sheffield (S35) from January 2026. As a Religious Education (RE) Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that promote critical thinking, respect, and understanding of different religions and worldviews. You will support students in developing reflective skills and informed perspectives within a supportive learning environment. What you have to do: Plan and deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons in line with the curriculum. Encourage open discussion, critical thinking, and respectful debate in the classroom. Support students in understanding religious, moral, and ethical concepts. Assess, track, and report on student progress effectively. Maintain positive behaviour management and a safe, inclusive classroom environment. Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider school ethos. Religious Education (RE) Teacher Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience teaching RE in secondary schools is desirable. Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education or a related field. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities and backgrounds. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
