Maggs Day Centre is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead our Worcestershire-based charity into its next phase — strengthening financial resilience, governance, partnerships and service impact while delivering high-quality, trauma-informed support.
This is a pivotal senior leadership role with full strategic and operational accountability.

The Role — Chief Executive Officer
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will lead the organisation's strategy, operations and sustainability, ensuring strong governance, financial stewardship, service quality, compliance and income growth.
You will deliver our five-year strategy and translate this into operational, financial and fundraising plans, ensuring Maggs remains safe, effective, well-governed and financially resilient.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Organisational Leadership
* Lead delivery of organisational strategy and long-term development
* Drive sustainable growth and measurable impact
* Lead organisational change and service development
Operations & Service Quality
* Oversee all frontline and operational delivery
* Ensure safe, effective, trauma-informed services
* Lead safeguarding, quality and risk management
Finance, Governance & Compliance
* Provide strong financial oversight and sustainability planning
* Ensure regulatory, audit and governance compliance
* Report to the Board of Trustees on performance and risk
Income Generation & Commissioning
* Lead fundraising and income strategy
* Support major grants and partnership funding
* Build and maintain commissioner and contract relationships
* Strengthen corporate and funder partnerships
People & Culture
* Lead and develop the Senior Leadership Team
* Build an inclusive, psychologically safe culture
* Support workforce wellbeing and development
External Leadership & Representation
* Act as senior ambassador and spokesperson
* Represent Maggs across statutory, voluntary and health sectors
* Strengthen cross-sector partnerships and influence
We're Looking For Someone WithEssential
* Senior leadership experience in the charity, public or social sector
* Strong organisational and operational management experience
* Experience working with a Board of Trustees
* Proven financial oversight and budget responsibility
* Experience delivering organisational strategy
* Fundraising or income generation leadership experience
* Strong partnership and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
* Experience in homelessness, housing or severe disadvantage
* Commissioning and contract delivery experience
* Change management leadership experience
* Leadership or management qualifications
