Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join their team in Brentwood, Tennessee. In this remote contract role, you will leverage your expertise in accounting principles and financial procedures to contribute to key operational goals. This position requires strong analytical skills, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of management.
Responsibilities:
• Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage the general ledger and prepare journal entries to support month-end close processes.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions and accounting software such as Oracle, Lawson, and NetSuite to streamline financial operations.
• Conduct detailed analyses to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with facility and corporate management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and presentations using tools like PowerPoint.
• Apply healthcare administration experience to address industry-specific accounting challenges.
• Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least two years of accounting experience with strong attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, procedures, and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Lawson, Oracle, Meditech, Cerner, or OneStream is preferred.
• Previous experience in healthcare accounting is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
