There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our PA to MD & Office Manager is looking to recruit an Administrator / Receptionist to join the Durham Division.
The Role
The role of Administrator / Receptionist will support the PA to MD & Office Manager in the day to day running of the office.
Principal accountabilities of the role include:
1. Diary Management for Contracts Manager’s
2. Support with New Site set up, organise phone connections, provide set up stationery, documentation, signage and necessary paperwork / files and supply of PPE
3. Maintain attendance and overtime working records for site staff
4. Organise staff training as directed by the Contracts Managers / PA to MD & Office Manager, maintaining records, certificates and the upkeep of the Divisions training matrix
5. Ad hoc duties to include: Monthly Safety returns, Plot certificates, Site Inductions, ordering of uniforms
6. Meeting & Greeting of visitors, ensuring they receive a warm welcome
7. Switchboard duties – answering all internal & external telephone calls within a timely, professional & friendly manner
8. Ordering of stationery, kitchen supplies & water deliveries
9. Ad hoc duties to include letters, office checks, dealing with incoming & outgoing post
10. Support the PA to MD & Office Manager with various ad hoc administrative duties
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
Experience
11. Experience of working within a busy and fast-paced administrative role
12. Experience of working within the Construction Industry desirable
13. Experience of working as a Receptionist
Qualifications & Training
14. GCSE Maths & English – Grade C or above (or equivalent)
Skills & Aptitude
15. Good interpersonal skills
16. Excellent organisation & administration skills, including good attention to detail
17. Ability to work independently, remaining focused and motivated
18. IT literate, with confidence to leave new systems quickly and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
19. Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously
