GSL Education are currently recruiting a committed SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming school in Bexhill from September 2025. This is a fulfilling opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who require additional support in their learning journey.
Role Overview:
As an SEN TA, you will work closely with pupils with diverse needs, offering both in-class and individualised support. You will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive learning environment that nurtures progress, confidence, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the learning and development of students with special educational needs.
* Work one-to-one or in small groups to deliver tailored interventions.
* Assist the class teacher in creating inclusive lesson activities.
* Help implement behaviour management strategies effectively.
* Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive social interactions.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.
* A calm, empathetic, and patient approach.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are advantageous.
* Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
