About The Role
As a Senior Business Partner, Colleague Communication (Divisions or Functions), within the Group Colleague Communications function your role is to design, plan and execute communications and campaigns that drive awareness, engagement and understanding of where BSI is heading as a business.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders at all levels, responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, and execution of internal communications and engagement efforts across the divisions or functions.
You will manage a small team of Colleague Communications Managers and work closely with the Colleague Communications Operations and Change Communications teams to deliver quality communication and engagement activity. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to group-wide projects
As a senior role within the Business Partnering team, you will also be required to deputise for the Head of Colleague Communications Business Partnering. You’ll set the tone for the team by role-modelling positive behaviours and ways of working, helping to create a supportive, high-performing environment where people can do their best work. You’ll also bring your communications expertise to life across the business – building trust, offering guidance, and helping colleagues deliver great outcomes
Responsibilities
* Supporting the Head of Colleague Communications Business Partnering in horizon scanning to anticipate and future proof enterprise/division/function needs.
* Partnering with senior stakeholders to develop strategic colleague communications & engagement campaigns based on data, insight, and division/function priorities.
* Champion a centre of excellence (CoE) for colleague communications and engagement.
* Supporting the Head of Colleague Communications Business Partnering in building and maintaining a consistent approach to delivering colleague communications, focusing on strategic thinking, and planning.
* Oversee the creation and dissemination of clear and compelling content across various channels, including SharePoint, emails, newsletters, presentations, videos, town halls and social media.
* Coach stakeholders on the value of effective communications, building their understanding and investment in communication efforts.
* Proactively manage stakeholder concerns and resistance.
* Working with the Change Communication Leads to ensure change communications are integrated with colleague communications messaging and planning.
* Adopt and embed standards for communications materials, ensuring alignment with the broader BSI brand and tone of voice, and maintain excellent copywriting and copyediting standards.
* Work with the Campaign Lead to establish metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts.
* Manage and mentor individuals within your team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
To Be Successful In The Role, You Will Have
* Over 10 years of senior-level experience in internal communications and engagement within large, global, matrix organizations.
* Proven ability to build and implement robust communication strategies, leverage new technologies and tools.
* Lead high-performing internal communications teams on a global scale.
* A seasoned professional with deep expertise in communication, engagement, and business strategy.
* Strong experience providing strategic counsel to executive leadership.
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic communication plans.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
* Strategic or internal communications qualification (Diploma from IOIC, CIPR)
